Fees & Payments

At MusicLinks we make sure we link you with the perfect tutor for you.

Some students thrive with an enthusiastic tutor just starting on their teaching journey. Others require a mature, experienced teacher. Some students work best with a tutor who is a professional performer.

Some students want to learn to improvise whereas others prefer a traditional classical approach. All of our tutors offer different skills and appeal and it is our job to find the best fit for each student. Lesson fees are charged per term.

2026 Fees
Fees are charged per term. The invoices are sent out prior to each school term. Our fees are guided by the recommended minimum fees for music teachers  set by the Music Teachers Association of NSW https://www.mtansw.org.au/teaching-fees-2022

The fees vary dependant on the type of lessons- mobile (in student's home), online or in studio as follows:

Private or Shared Lessons:

Private lessons:

• $495 per term for 30 min lessons

* In home (mobile) private lessons attract an additional $90 per term fee

Pair Lessons:

• $370 per term per student for 30 minute lessons

Please note: shared lessons are not offered on all instruments. Please enquire for more information

Group Lessons:

• group lessons are offered at some of our school programs. Please enquire to find out if they are on offer at your school.

Casual Lessons:

• casual lessons can be booked if there is availability.  The cost of a casual lesson is $60 per 30 min lesson

* term private lesson fees are based on a standard 10 week term where we have 9 lessons plus a make up lesson week. Shorter and/or longer terms are charged pro-rata.

* All fees are inclusive of gst

​We are a NSW Creative Kids' Provider so you can use your $50 voucher for lessons with MusicLinks.

Invoicing and Payment
Students are invoiced in advance per term. Payment is due before the first lesson of the term. We can offer monthly payments to those who request. Payment is made to MusicLinks and not to the tutor. The tutor's role is to focus fully on teaching and inspiring their students leaving MusicLinks to handle all the behind the scenes administration.
