AMEB EXAMINATIONS

What is AMEB?

AMEB is the Australian Music Examination Board. AMEB credentials are recognised professionally both in Australia and around the world.

Am I ready to sit an exam on my instrument?

Your Musiclinks tutor will advise and guide you on this. Exams are a wonderful opportunity for students to have something to work towards and to build their skills and confidence. They also give the student a sense of achievement. Any student of any age can sit an AMEB exam. Most instruments have a preliminary level of exam as a starting point.

Exact locations are confirmed when the students exam date and time are released. In non-covid times, the examinations are held in 2 sessions each year. One is early in the year and one later in the year.

Since COVID, AMEB have been offering Repertoire Video Exams. These continue to be offered in 2024. Your Musiclinks tutor or the Director can guide you on the process in depth.
